Wax Carving
Wax carving is an ancient technique and a useful skill for jewellery makers, allowing you to make pieces that are hard to achieve with wire and sheet. Using a block of wax, you carve out your design, such as a ring, pendant or other 3D shape, making it as intricate and detailed as you would like, just like a sculptor. A jewellery caster then creates a mould of the wax model and casts your design in metal. You then have your own unique design which can be re-cast multiple times.
