Renaissance wax is one of those products that was not originally designed for jewellery making but has become a staple on a jeweller's bench. It was originally developed by the British Museum for preserving valuable artefacts (it is acid-free unlike many other waxes). The wax enhances and protects any kind of surface and imparts a clear film which is highly resistant to finger marking, pollution and oxidation. Use it as a protective film to seal Liver of Sulphur patinas, prevent the tarnishing of metals and to keep your tools from rusting.
